2020 Annual International Conference | Coronavirus Update

Dear NARST Members:

Please note that the NARST leadership is paying close attention to developments pertaining to coronavirus situation. The health and safety of our attendees at the 2020 Annual Conference is our top priority. We are following what the CDC, the World Health Organization and other state and government officials are posting to the public to help guide all and to inform decisions regarding the conference.

We encourage attendees to monitor the CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) for additional information, and review and follow the World Health Organization's (WHO) Travel Advice (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/travel-advice) .

The NARST Executive Committee, the Executive Director and the Secretary Treasurer met virtually on Saturday to discuss possible scenarios. Again, first and foremost, NARST members’ health is our first priority.  We are aware of some international travel alerts and restrictions, and we respect every NARST member and their decision about the conference.

As a special note, Marriott International is reinforcing recommended measures on appropriate hygiene standards and following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and local health authorities.

The Board will determine courses of action informed by the available data and information. These actions will be communicated  to the membership no later than Saturday March 7.

Tali Tal, President
Eileen Parsons, President Elect
Gail Richmond, Immediate Past President
