Engineering Education RIG, July 2014
As the Engineering Education RIG enters its second year of operation, we are incredibly excited to support the collaboration of NARST members interested in engineering education. During the NARST annual meeting in Pittsburgh, the ENE RIG held its second annual meeting with over 40 people in attendance. We held a presidential co-sponsored session at NARST, which was also well-attended. The ENE RIG aims to synergize research in science and engineering education, promote rigorous research in engineering education, and provide a collaboration and discussion space supporting intellectual and professional exchange and networking. ENE RIG now has 89 members.
We currently have a call for NARST paper sets centered on engineering education. If you are planning to submit an engineering-themed paper to NARST this year, and are interested in collaborating with others to form paper sets, please email Cathy Lachapelle (clachapelle@mos.org) with the following information: your name, your paper topic, and the strand to which you would submit this paper. Cathy will work to get authors with similar themes in touch with one another, and to facilitate the process of writing the paper sets.
We also invite you to complete our membership survey http://www.formstack.com/forms/eie-narst_survey which will allow you access to our email listserv (narstengineeringeducationrig@lyris.dundee.net).
