The NARST leadership has submitted on July 7 a comment on the proposed changes outlined in the US OMB rule. The U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has proposed major changes to the Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), the government-wide rules that govern how federal grant funds may be spent.

In light of the NARST Code of Ethics, our organization reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the inclusion of diverse people, perspectives, forms of scholarship, communities, and nationalities, and opposition to oppression in all forms.

On behalf of NARST, President Jennifer Adams co-signed a letter sent to the Secretary and Acting Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Education, from 11 education research associations representing over 35,000 members. It requests that they take swift action to advance the 2025-2026 Civil Rights Data Collection.
